Bail granted to man reportedly found with illegal firearm

A 23-year-old Victoria Village man was yesterday granted bail in the sum of $11,000, after he was allegedly found with an illegal firearm.

When he appeared before the Serious Offences Court, Tevin Simmons pleaded not guilty to having one .22 Smith and Wesson semi-automatic pistol, serial number TFT2483, without a licence on January 27, 2017.

Composite bail in the sum of EC$$11,000 with one surety was allowed, after the Crown made no objection to his bail.

However, Simmons is to report to the Stubbs Police Station every Friday, between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m, up until his next court appearance, February 13, 2017. (AS)
