Zacchaeus Cumberbatch and Janella Hutchins both stood before magistrate Bertie Pompey at the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court yesterday, charged that on Sunday, December 18, 2016, in Bequia, they had 3,760 grammes of cannabis.

The drugs were found when police officers executed a search warrant on their home.

Cumberbatch pleaded guilty, while Hutchins pleaded not guilty and prosecutor Elgin Richards withdrew the charge against her.

Pompey accepted Cumberbatch’s guilty plea. He is to pay $4,000 within one month and in default, he would face six months imprisonment.(AS)
