Rillan Hill man to stand trial for attempted murder, aggravated burglary
A matter in which a Rillan Hill man is accused of having committed attempted murder and aggravated burglary has been scheduled for the next sitting of the High Court here.{{more}}
Following the conclusion of a Preliminary Inquiry on Tuesday, Chief Magistrate Rechanne Browne-Matthias ruled that there was enough evidence to proceed in a case involving Grafton McDowall.
McDowall is charged for aggravated burglary and attempting to kill Lerna Daniel of Rillan Hill on January 14, 2016.
It is alleged that around 1 oâclock that morning, Daniel, a farmer, awoke to a man standing over her and stabbing her repeatedly over her body.
She survived the attack and was able to recall the incident while giving evidence during the preliminary inquiry, which began on June 27.
