Castian Stapleton-Lewis and Nikita Roberts now face two charges including attempted murder and the possession of a firearm with the intent to endanger the life or cause injury to Jomano Tash of Rockies.

On Tuesday, October 4, SEARCHLIGHT reported that three men, armed with firearms, one wearing a mask and two without masks, were seen in the Rockies area sometime after 7 p.m.

A witness said that soon after the men were spotted, gunfire erupted from an unknown source and the three fled the scene, one discharging his firearm while fleeing.

Based on the account of a Murray’s village resident we reported that over 40 rounds were fired that night.

When Stapleton-Lewis and Roberts appeared before the Serious Offences Court on Wednesday, no objection was made to their bail.

Composite bail was made available to them in the sum of $35,000. They are also to report to the Central Police Station every Monday and Thursday between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. and were ordered to surrender all travel documents.

The two would now need the express permission of the court to leave the jurisdiction and stop notices have been placed at all ports of exit.

They will reappear before the court on January 27, 2017. (AS)
