Yesterday at the Serious Offences Court, Rochelle Fields pleaded guilty that on Sunday, October 2, she had in her possession 319 grams of cannabis.

Police say that around 9:50 a.m. a team of Rapid Response Unit officers, headed by Sergeant 518 Lewis, executed a warrant on Fields, who was met at home.

During a search, they found a plastic bag in a dish in Fields’ kitchen. When cautioned, she replied, “Officer is weed; is mine.”

She was then taken to the narcotics base, where the drug was weighed in her presence.

Chief Magistrate Rechanne Browne-Matthias fined Fields $650 to be paid forthwith; in default, she would go to prison for three weeks.(AS)
