Moah Williams case continues today
Moah Williams, who was charged with attempted murder, unlawful possession of an unlicensed Smith and Wesson firearm and five rounds of ammunition appeared before the Serious Offences Court again yesterday.{{more}}
Williams was arrested on April 11 after a contingent of Rapid Response Unit (RRU) personnel and officers of the Questelles Police Station went to his home to conduct a search.
At the last court appearance on May 25, sergeant Dwayne Bailey, who headed the contingent, said in his witness statement that when they arrived at Williamsâ home in Questelles, he looked through the front door and saw Williams running towards the back porch with what appeared to be a firearm in his hand.
Bailey also said that he notified police constable Davy, who was at the back of the house.
When Bailey went to the back of the house, he said that Davy pointed out the area where he saw Williams throw something.
The officers found the black firearm and a magazine loaded with five rounds of ammunition 10 feet away from the house.
Yesterday, Chief Magistrate Rechanne Browne-Matthias made a site visit to Williamsâ home, where Bailey pointed out the front door he looked through, the back porch where Williams was heading to with the firearm and the area behind the house where the firearm and loaded magazine were found.
Williams will reappear in court again today.
