Chief Magistrate Rechanne Browne-Matthias granted George composite bail in the sum of $30,000. The conditions of his bail require him to surrender all travel documents and report to the Central Police Station on Mondays and Thursdays between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Stop orders will be placed at all ports of entry and exit and George is not allowed to leave the state without the permission of the Serious Offences Court, or a court of a higher jurisdiction.

George is also charged with driving without third party insurance and driving without being the owner of a permit.

Roberts died two weeks ago from injuries sustained on May 8 at the Lodge Village Public Road, when he was struck by Suzuki Escudo RV 242 driven by George.

The matter has been adjourned to September 12, 2016.
