The 28-year-old Rilland Hill resident has been charged with the murder of James ‘Sheppy’ Shappeard, who was killed last Tuesday at Twenty Hill at about 10:45 p.m.

Forty-four-year-old Shappeard, a naturalized Vincentian, who was born in Trinidad and Tobago, was found lying at the side of the road, near to a vehicle, with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to his head. Motor vehicle PU419, a 2006 Toyota Corolla Luxel, was seen crashed into a wall at the scene.

Shappeard’s death was the 16th homicide for the year.
