When he stood before Chief Magistrate Rechanne Browne-Matthias, Bynoe was charged that on May 1, 2016, at Fairbaine Pasture, he had in his possession one .38 special revolver. He was further charged that on the said date he had five rounds of .38 special revolver ammunition without a licence, contrary to the Firearms Act.

The prosecution made no objection to his bail. However, they requested that sufficient surety be provided and asked that reporting conditions be imposed.

Bynoe was granted composite bail in the sum of $15,000 and is to report to the Calliaqua Police Station on Mondays and Thursdays between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Lawyer Grant Connell is his counsel.
