Guardsman officer charged with assault, resisting arrest

A security officer has been charged with assault and resisting arrest.{{more}}

Bertron Providence, an employee of Guardsman (SVG) Ltd, appeared before the Serious Offences Court on Monday and was charged that on January 1, 2016, he assaulted PC 340 Clint DaSouza, causing actual bodily harm, and three days later, on January 4, he resisted arrest.

Providence pleaded not guilty to the charges and was granted bail in the sum of $1,500. He is expected to return to court on May 30.
