Man charged with stealing over $20,000 worth of cooking oil

A resident of Riley in the Marriaqua Valley is out on $25,000 bail after pleading not guilty to stealing several jugs of cooking oil from the Double Happiness Restaurant in Kingstown.{{more}}

20-year-old Deron Layne stood before the Serious Offences Court yesterday, where he was charged with 20 counts of theft between October 20 and November 16 last year.

Layne is charged with stealing 160 jugs of cooking oil, valued at over EC$20,000 from the restaurant.

Prosecution did not object to his bail, but however requested reporting conditions. Layne is to report to the Mesopotamia Police Station every Friday between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. until his court date May 30 2016.
