Reporter to answer charge of receiving stolen property

A businessman and freelance reporter is expected to appear before the Chateaubelair court next Thursday, where he would answer charges of receiving stolen property.{{more}}

Adrian “Tari” Cadogan pleaded not guilty at the Serious Offences Court on Wednesday, after being charged that on March 15, 2016, he received a brown and white Dako oven, knowing or believing that it was stolen property and dishonestly receiving it for his own benefit, contrary to section 233(4) of the Criminal Code, Chapter 171 of the Revised Edition of the Laws of St Vincent and the Grenadines, 2009.

Cadogan, a 48-year-old Chateaubelair resident, was granted bail in the sum of EC$1,000, with one surety by chief magistrate Rechanne Browne-Matthias.

The matter has beentransferred to the Chateaubelair court for hearing on Thursday, March 24.(AS)
