Mental Health Centre gives go-ahead to charge accused arsonist

Questelles resident Ricardo Samuel yesterday pleaded not guilty to charges he faces in relation to a fire that was set at the ULP South Leeward constituency office on February 5, 2016.{{more}}

Samuel is charged with having in his possession items, intending without lawful excuse, to use the said items to destroy the ULP South Leeward constituency office.

He appeared before the Serious Offences Court yesterday after the court was given the go-ahead to charge him by the Mental Health Centre.

The prosecution made no objection to bail which was granted in the sum of $2,000, with one surety.

Samuel will reappear before the court on April 7, 2016.(AS)
