Fancy trio charged with causing death of seven fellow villagers

Three residents of Fancy were charged on Wednesday with causing the death of seven fellow villagers in a tragic accident at Rock Gutter, on January 12, 2015.{{more}}

Ehud Myers, a 67-year old pastor, Colbert Bowen, a 51-year-old head teacher, and Davanan Nanton, a 36-year-old chauffeur were jointly charged with by omission causing the death of Racquel Ashton, Chanstacia Stay, Glenroy Michael, Jamall and Jamali Edwards, Simonique Ballantyne and Anique Alexander.

The men received bail in the sum of EC$20,000 with one surety, following the conclusion of the recent coroner’s inquest into the deaths. The bail conditions will continue.

The trio is expected to return to the Serious Offences Court on January 21, 2016, for their next court hearing.
