PI begins in Union Island drug bust

The preliminary inquiry into charges brought against Union Island residents Benjamin Harvey and Vincent Dember began at the Serious Offences Court yesterday.{{more}}

The two stood before chief magistrate Rechanne Browne-Matthias, jointly charged with possession of 9,159 grams of cocaine with intent to supply, drug trafficking and conspiracy to commit the offence.

Four witnesses, sergeant 549 Robinson, corporal 587 Simon, AD 122 Creese and sergeant Harry have so far given testimony.

The two men are being represented by lawyer Ronald Marks.
