Arnos Vale residents charged with drug trafficking

Arnos Vale residents Don Noel, Alwyn Cadore and Kaison Matheson will spend the next week in suspense after their matter was adjourned at the Serious Offences Court yesterday.{{more}}

The three appeared before Chief Magistrate Rechanne Browne-Matthias after being charged with possession of 123,942 grams of cannabis with intent to export and possession of cannabis for the purpose of drug trafficking on May 19.

Noel and Matheson pleaded not guilty to the charges, while Cadore pleaded guilty.

Following this, senior prosecutor in the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Adolphus Delpeche requested time to consult with the DPP on how to proceed and informed the court that a decision would be made by next Monday, when the trio will reappear.

Their lawyer, Grant Connell, had no objection to this.(AS)
