South Rivers resident pleads not guilty to theft

Patrick John, a resident of South Rivers has pleaded not guilty to a charge of theft of items valued at $11,754.

He appeared before Magistrate Carla James at the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, July 14.{{more}}

John is alleged to have entered the dwelling house of 29-year-old Rafique Wilkinson of the same address and stolen items ranging from household appliances to clothing, paint, toiletries and liquor between February 26 and July 3, 2015.

He was also charged with trespassing, to which he also pleaded not guilty.

Magistrate James granted him bail in the sum of $15,000 and the matter was transferred to the Colonarie court, where he should have appeared yesterday.(AS)
