Mother, son granted $20,000 bail each on drug charges

A mother and her 16-year-old son were granted $20,000 bail each, after pleading not guilty to cocaine possession charges.

Julia and Alex Williams, both of Barrouallie, appeared at the Serious Offences Court on Tuesday before Chief Magistrate Rechanne Browne-Matthias and were charged with possession with intent to supply 1,152 grammes of cocaine{{more}} and possession for the purpose of drug trafficking.

The mother and son duo were jointly charged with Paul “Sorrel” Quow, also of the same address. He too was granted bail in the sum of $20,000.

The matter was adjourned to July 20 for hearing.

Counsel Grant Connell and Michaela Ambrose appear on the defendants’ behalf.
