Belair farmer charged with attempted murder of teacher

On Monday, Belair resident Emmerson Delpesche will appear at the Serious Offences Court to answer to three charges.{{more}}

According to police, the 37-year-old farmer, on Wednesday, April 15 was arrested and charged with burglarizing the dwelling house of Rebecca Findlay of Belair and assaulting 34-year-old school teacher, Nadine Delpesche on April 13.

He is also charged with forcing Nadine Delpesche to leave Rebecca Findlay’s apartment and go to the Belair public road. Also, he was charged with the attempted murder of Nadine Delpesche by “trying to stab her about her body, placing same at her throat and pointing a gun at her.”

The matter was transferred to the Serious Offences Court after being heard at the Family Court yesterday.
