He is charged with robbing at gunpoint, Avil Slater, an omnibus operator of Vermont of a purse and $420.

He is also charged with having a gun in his possession. Desiviere was further charged with being in possession of a firearm, endangering the life of Sylvanus Edwards, of Vermont.

He was again charged with using a firearm to aid in the commission of a robbery.

The incident is said to have taken place on February 11, at around 2:15 p.m.

The matter was adjourned to May 12.

In separate charges, Desiviere was sentenced to five months in jail after he pleaded guilty to two immigration charges.

He pleaded guilty to entering the state by boat between November 30 and December 23, 2014 and disembarking at Georgetown without the consent of immigration authorities.

He also pleaded guilty to having entered the state by boat without a passport, being a prohibited immigrant. Chief Magistrate Rechanne Browne-Matthias sentenced Desiviere to five months in jail on each of those counts. The sentences will run concurrently.(KW)
