The trio: Mike and Michael Prescod and Sherwin Phillips, all of the same address, appeared at the Serious Offences Court yesterday and were jointly charged with possession of a firearm without a licence, a 12-gauge shotgun, and five rounds of 12-gauge ammunition, on January 30.

On separate charges, Mike Prescod was charged with possession of a 12-gauge shotgun and two rounds of 12-gauge ammunition, on the same date.

He pleaded not guilty on each count.

Senior prosecutor Adolphus Delpesche objected to bail on the grounds that the Prescods are already on bail for a similar offence.

Chief Magistrate Rechanne Browne-Matthias upheld the prosecution’s objection and granted an adjournment until Thursday, February 5.

The men are being represented by attorney Israel Bruce.(KW)
