Michael Jackson gets two years in jail for ammo possession

Old Montrose resident Michael Jackson will spend the next two years in jail after being found guilty of possession of 115 rounds of .9 mm ammunition.{{more}}

Chief Magistrate Rechane Browne-Matthias sentenced the 29-year-old man on November 3 at the Serious Offences Court.

Jackson was also charged with possession of 50 rounds of .38 ammunition, 10 rounds of .357 magnum ammunition and was sentenced to one year and six months imprisonment respectively.

The sentences will run concurrently.

The incident occurred on July 31, 2014 during a search at his home.
