Suspect charged in Calder killing

Calder resident, Hamilton McDonald has been charged for causing the death of fellow Calder resident, Desborne “Des” Yearwood, on October 20.{{more}}

McDonald, 47, appeared at the Serious Offences Court yesterday and was remanded in custody.

It is alleged that at about 4:30 p.m., McDonald used a blunt object and struck the deceased on his head.

Yearwood died at the Levi Latham Health Centre.

Senior prosecutor Adolphus Delpseche informed the court that they intend to call nine witnesses in the matter, which was adjourned to February 24, 2015 for preliminary inquiry.
