The 34-year-old was remanded in custody after he appeared at the Serious Offences Court, charged with the shooting death of Javern “Stitchie”Nero, 26, also of the same address.

On August 5, 2005, Nero, 26, sustained two bullet wounds to his right leg and one to the right section of his head while hanging with friends at Big Sand Beach, Sandy Bay.

He died on his way to the Georgetown Hospital.

SEARCHLIGHT was reliably informed that Browne had been residing in Martinique and was recently deported after serving time in jail there.

In an August 12, 2005 article, published in SEARCHLIGHT during the week following the incident, police had issued a wanted poster for Browne, listing him as armed and dangerous.

Another man, Heron Nanton, 34, was also charged back in 2005 in connection with Nero’s death.

Browne is being represented by attorney Joseph Delves.
