Following the conclusion of a preliminary inquiry at the Serious Offences Court yesterday, Chief Magistrate Rechanne Browne-Matthias found that there was sufficient evidence for him to stand trial on a charge of robbery.

Marshall is charged with robbing Sasha Frederick of Richland Park of a cellular phone, a tablet device and EC$35 on July 13, 2014, at Richmond Hill.

He is also charged with robbing Sherwin Richards, a resident of Old Montrose, of a Sony Xperia cellular phone, on July 13.

During the inquiry, Marshall declined to cross-examine any of the key prosecution witnesses in the matter.

The prosecution was led by senior prosecutor Adolphus Delpesche.

Marshall was unrepresented.(KW)
