DeBique, 44, a resident of Ottley Hall, pleaded not guilty at the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court to using insulting language against Constable Gideon Nathan.

On May 16, at Heritage Square, in Kingstown, DeBique is alleged to have told Nathan “Man, haul yo fat, sour, [expletive]. You pay the [expletive] money, your fat ass.”

DeBique also pleaded not guilty to the use of threatening language against Nathan, to wit, “Boy, you see yo fat mother [expletive]. Ah go sharpen me cutlass back and belly. Soak it in gramoxone and chop yo fat mother [expletive].”

Despite pleading not guilty, Magistrate Rechanne Browne-Matthias remanded DeBique in custody after prosecutor ASP Glenford Gregg informed the court that he had a warrant out for him for non-payment of a fine.

DeBique’s matters were adjourned to June 3, 2014 for hearing.(KW)
