Ottley Hall resident pleads not guilty to gun, ammo possession

Kimer Franklyn is now out on $40,000 bail after pleading not guilty to gun and ammunition charges.{{more}}

The 21-year-old Ottley Hall resident appeared at the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court on Monday and pleaded not guilty to the charges.

He was charged with having a 12-gauge shotgun without a licence issued under the Firearms Act and having seven 12-gauge cartridges in his possession, at Ottley Hall on May 9.

As part of his bail conditions, Franklyn was ordered to report to the Central Police Station on Mondays and Fridays.

He also had to surrender his travel documents.

His matter will be heard on July 31 at the Serious Offences Court.(KW)
