Man sentenced to four years for possession of revolver, ammunition

Tolino Webb was sentenced to four years in prison when he pleaded guilty to possession of a .22 revolver and four rounds of .22 ammunition last Wednesday at the Serious Offences Court.{{more}}

Chief Magistrate Sonya Young sentenced Webb to three years on the gun charge and one year on the ammunition. The sentences are to run concurrently.

According to the facts, on October 4, 2013, Sergeant 509 Smith was driving his vehicle along Grenville Street when he and another police officer saw Webb run across the road and go into the Paul’s Avenue area.

Smith drove the vehicle along North River road and while driving down Wilson Hill, Webb was again spotted. He began to run; the officers gave chase and Webb was subsequently apprehended.(KW)
