Teenaged boys charged with stealing gun, cash

Two teenage boys have been arrested and charged, one with stealing a revolver, the other with having it in his possession.{{more}}

On September 16, Enard Douglas, a 15-year-old fisherman of Ashton, Union Island was arrested and charged with having in his possession one black Smith and Wesson Airweight .38 revolver without a license issued under the Firearm Act; with having in his possession four rounds of .38 ammunitions without a license at Ashton on 15.09.13; with knowing or believing one black smith and Wesson Airweight .38 revolver and four rounds of .38 ammunitions to be stolen goods did dishonestly undertake or assist in its retention of same for his own benefit at Ashton on September 15.

A 13-year-old student of Ashton, Union Island was also arrested in relation to the revolver.

On September 16, the boy was charged with entering the dwelling house of Anthony George, a 58-year-old businessman of Mesopotamia as a trespasser and with stealing one black Smith and Wesson Airweight .38 Revolver with four rounds of .38 ammunitions, valued EC$3,504.00 and EC$470.00 in cash, the property of Anthony George and stolen at Ashton on September 15.
