Melvin George appeared at the Serious Offences Court yesterday and pleaded guilty to possession of four rounds of .38 ammunition and a Smith and Wesson revolver.

Chief Magistrate Sonya Young remanded George into custody so that she could find out more about him from St Lucian law authorities.

George was initially jointly charged with Vincentians Alfredo Edwards and Unique Howe, who both pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Following their not guilty pleas, the prosecution withdrew the charges against both men.(KW)
