Police arrest Diamond resident two years after death of 72-year-old man

Two years after the murder of Grafton Hutchinson, police have made an arrest in the case.{{more}}

Travis Williams, 25, a resident of Diamond, was brought before the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court yesterday, charged with causing the death of Hutchinson, by striking him on his head with a claw hammer at Stubbs, between June 19 and 20, 2011.

He was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison and the matter was transferred to the Serious Offences Court, for hearing on September 2.

The 72-year-old businessman of Mt Pleasant was found dead at his place of business, Club CasaBlanca, on Monday, June 20, 2011.

Police said Hutchinson, who had suffered an injury to his head, was murdered between 10 p.m. on June 19, and 6:30 a.m. on Monday, June 20, 2011.(KW)
