Layou men charged with murder of fellow resident

Two Layou residents are now on remand at Her Majesty’s Prison, charged with the murder of fellow Layou resident Steve “Brother” Douglas, 46.{{more}}

Shunna Jack, 30, and Rackene Maingot, 19, appeared before Kingstown Magistrate’s Court yesterday to answer to the charge, for which they were not required to enter a plea.

It is alleged that both men beat Douglas about his body, following an altercation in Layou on Friday, August 16.

The matter has been adjourned to September 2 and transferred to the Serious Offences Court.
