Former police officer charged for murder

A former police officer was charged on Friday, in relation to the murder of Helen Fox of Lodge Village.{{more}}

Lionel Hoyte of Lodge Village was remanded in custody, after being charged with the murder of Fox, 36.

Fox, who was formerly employed at SwiftPac in Kingstown, was found lying in her bed last week, with a slashed throat and stab wounds about her body.

Hoyte recently resigned from his job as a security officer in Canouan.

The couple had two sons together, ages eight and three.

Hoyte will return to court on September 5 and 6 for the preliminary inquiry.
