Former health minister and New Democratic Party (NDP) candidate, Burton Williams will return to the Kingstown Magistrateâs Court on Thursday, October 11, when he will continue to be cross-examined by crown counsel Colin John.{{more}}
The matter was adjourned on Tuesday by Senior Magistrate Donald Browne, shortly after John commenced his cross-examination.
Williams is charged with attempted damage to property and that within the precincts of the House of Assembly, he behaved in a manner in which a breach of peace was likely to be occasioned on January 28, 2011.
At the time in question, the NDP was holding a protest march against the introduction of two pieces of legislation in the Parliament.
