The Caribbean Media Corporation (CMC) said charges were dropped against Vincentian Lennox Andrew, St Lucians Pamela Dorville and Wilson Alcide, after Barbadian Iron Bascombe pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled drug, possession with intent to supply a controlled drug, possession of an unlicensed firearm and possession of ammunition.

Bascombe was sentenced to seven years in prison.

All the occupants of the vehicle, which was stopped by the police were slapped with the same charges.

The CMC said Bascombe was jailed for seven years each on the charges of possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition.

The sentences will run concurrently.

On the drug possession charge, Bascombe was cautioned, reprimanded and discharged and fined EC$500 on the charge of intent to supply.

In default, he would spend 30 days in prison.
