Jamaican remanded for possession of cannabis

A Jamaican man has been remanded in custody after police officers nabbed him at the E.T. Joshua Airport on suspicion of possession of cannabis.{{more}}

Kemar Ferran appeared at the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday. He pleaded guilty to having 3,669 grams of cannabis in his possession on September 10.

Ferran was also charged with attempting to export the drug. He also pleaded guilty to that charge.

Senior Magistrate Donald Browne transferred the matter to the Serious Offences Court where the facts will be heard and the sentence handed down.(KW)
