Former star witness in murder case shot in arm
A man who was the star witness in a 2007 murder case was shot in his left arm around 7 p.m. Tuesday, police say.{{more}}
Details surrounding the shooting of Uroy âLaybayâ Robinson were sketchy on Wednesday but SEARCHLIGHT learned he was treated and released from the hospital.
Robinson was the star witness in the murder case of Lloyd âLazoâ Samuel, who died of gunshot wounds to the head in December 2007.
Redemption Sharpes residents Che âRaggaâ Bute, 29, and Azari âHefferâ Ash, 23, were sentenced to life imprisonment on July 13, 2012 for Samuelâs murder.
Robinson had told the court that he was present when Ash and Bute plotted to kill Samuel.
Up to press time, no arrests were made in connection with Robinsonâs shooting.(KW)
