Cupid, 17, a resident of Barrouallie, was placed on a bond on Tuesday, April 3, at the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court, after he pleaded guilty to stealing a pair of Jordan brand sandals valued at $185, the property of Julian Jack – a police officer, between March 25 and 26, 2012.

The court heard that Jack had placed his sandals on his porch around 7:00 pm and returned the following day to find that his sandals were missing.

Jack said on April 1 he saw the defendant wearing the said sandals. Cupid was then arrested and subsequently charged.

Cupid, who appeared barefoot in court, was placed on a $1,000 bond for six months. He was also ordered to pay compensation of $185 in one month or spend three months in jail.(KW)
