I will take my own action: Bruce-Lyle

A call has been made for Parliament to look at legislation to deal with livestock owners who allow their animals to destroy other people’s crops.{{more}}

Addressing the closing of the criminal assizes on Tuesday, crown counsel Carl Williams said many people complain about persons stealing their livestock, while their animals are eating crops planted by others.

“Parliament needs to look at this. Justice is not a one-sided thing. The laws should be fair and just…,” Williams said.

Responding to Williams’ comments, High Court judge, Frederick Bruce-Lyle said there is someone in Cane Garden who owns a few cows that are causing havoc.

“I wish the police high command can do something, because one of these days I will take my own action,” Bruce-Lyle said.(KW)
