Failure to keep his commitment, Davis will spend six months in prison.

Davis also pleaded guilty to assaulting his two nephews and was also placed on a six-month bond. He was also ordered to pay compensation of $450 in one month for damaging a window belonging to his sister.

Failure to pay that fine will result in a three month sentence.

When he first appeared at the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court on February 6, he told the court that he was drunk when he committed the offences on February 5, 2012.

Davis, a carpenter of Questelles, was walking through Baptiste’s yard when she told him not to. He then picked up a concrete block and struck her on the head.

Later that same day, Davis’ sister heard her children crying outside and went to investigate. She saw Davis beating her children and when she attempted to intercede, Davis took a stone and threw it, breaking his sister’s window.
