Pregnant teen on $10,000 bail

A 17-year-old pregnant woman of Georgetown is now out on $10,000 bail after appearing at the Kingstown Magistrates Court.{{more}}

When she appeared in court on Monday, she pleaded not guilty to possession of 17,706 (39 pounds) cannabis.

Petula Glasgow was jointly charged with Marlon Nichols of Arnos Vale and Garvin Davis of Mesopotamia for possession of the drug. They, too, pleaded not guilty to the charge and were also granted $10,000 bail.

The trio were arrested at a house in Kingstown Park on January 20, during an operation which was led by Police Corporal 723 Dallaway.

Davis was also charged with possession of 108 grams of cannabis. He pleaded not guilty.

Senior Magistrate Donald Browne ordered them to surrender all travel documents. Glasgow was also     ordered to remain in the care of her mother until the matter is over.

The case was adjourned to April 17 and transferred to the Serious Offences Court.
