Dwayne Ward will, however, learn his fate this Friday, January 27, as Senior Magistrate Donald Browne stood down his sentencing.

The court heard that on January 19, at about 6:30 pm, acting on information received, police went to the E.T. Joshua Airport, where they met Ward in the departure lounge, just about to board LIAT flight 739 to Barbados.

He was also charged with attempting to export the drug.

Police officers requested a search of his person and that search revealed a taped package strapped around his waist.

When shown the drug, Ward told officers that he was taking the drug to sell in Barbados because he owes the Barbados courts some money.(KW)
