St Lucian man deported a second time in one year

St Lucian national Frances Charles was given his marching orders on Wednesday, this week, after pleading guilty to entering these shores illegally.{{more}}

But before he goes back to his homeland, he will have to serve six months at Her Majesty’s Prison.

Chief Magistrate Sonya Young handed down the sentence to Charles when he appeared at the Serious Offences Court.

Information surfacing at the court revealed that Charles came here on November 29, 2011, and docked at Barrouallie. Police later nabbed him in Fancy on December 23.

It was also revealed that Charles was deported earlier this year on a similar offence. He was charged with entering the state illegally on July 8 and was ordered to pay a fine of $1,500, and a deportation order was made against him.
