Edwards out on $6,000 bail

Sion Hill resident Albert Edwards will return to court on May 31, 2012, having been charged with two counts of robbery.{{more}} He appeared at the Serious Offences Court on Wednesday and was granted $6,000 bail.It is alleged that on Christmas Day, December 25, Edwards robbed Isaac Carr Simmons of Belvedere of $400, a silver chain and a gold bangle, a total value of $1,700.On the same day, he is alleged to have robbed Hilton Caine of Diamond of a cellular phone and $12. He was also charged for having a cellular phone in his possession, reasonably believed of being stolen or unlawfully obtained.

Chief Magistrate Sonya Young placed Edwards on a 7:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m. curfew, and so he has to report to the Central Police Station once per week.
