10 witnesses to testify in the murder matter of Steveon Springer

Ten witnesses are expected to give testimony in the matter in which Godwin Moses and Tameka Sutherland stand accused of the murder of Steveon Springer of Layou.{{more}}

The trial got underway yesterday at the Serious Offences Court after a final adjournment was granted in the matter on October 10, 2011.

It is alleged that Moses, 27, a labourer of Arnos Vale and Sutherland, 18 of Prospect gunned down Springer in the vicinty of Karib Cable at about 10:00 p.m. on December 9, 2010.

Springer, who was carrying his one year-old daughter in his arms at the time of his death, was making his way to Frenches Gate when a car drove alongside him and shots were fired from the vehicle.

Springer was left dead with a bullet to the hip and one to the back of the head.
