Patterson has been charged with intent to commit the offence of murder on Jerramie Phillips of Layou at Happy Hill Mountain on November 3.

Court prosecutor Adolphus Delplesche objected to bail on the grounds that police were currently conducting investigations into another matter in which the accused is of interest.

Delplesche contended that Patterson could hinder the investigations and may not surrender himself.

The prosecutor added that the victim was also afraid of the accused and that based on these grounds, he recommended that bail be denied.

The preliminary inquiry is set for February 29, 2012.(DD)
