Former Rising Star charged with possession of offensive weapon
The 2006 winner of the regional Digicel Rising Star competition, Kyron Baptiste, is now out on bail after pleading not guilty to being in possession of an offensive weapon.{{more}}
Baptiste, a Bequia resident, was taken before the Kingstown Magistrateâs Court on Monday, August 22, for being in possession of a knife, at Bequia on August 19, 2011.
SEARCHLIGHT understands that Baptiste was involved in a dispute with some other men, when the weapon was drawn.
The matter was adjourned to September 20, when the matter will be heard in Bequia.
