Trini, Chateau man nabbed at Fitz Hughes with 6,810 grammes of cannabis

On Saturday, July 9, Javon Wilson, 27 years, labourer of Trinidad and Equron Baptiste, 27 years, labourer of Chateaubelair were arrested and charged for having in their possession 6,810 grammes of cannabis, with intent to supply it to another, at Fitz Hughes on July 9.{{more}}

Both accused appeared at the Serious Offences Court on Monday, July 11. Baptiste pleaded guilty and was fined $8,500.00, $2000.00, to be paid forthwith and the remainder in 3 months or one year imprisonment. The charge against Wilson was withdrawn.

Meanwhile on July 8, 30-year-old Kerwin Richards, labourer of Fountain, 21-year-old Kenosha Hannaway, unemployed of Brighton and Akesha Dennie, 25-years-old, unemployed of Sion Hill were arrested and charged jointly for having in their possession 16,798 grammes of cannabis, with intent to supply it to another, at Lowmans Hill, on July 7, 2011.

They appeared at the Serious Offences Court on July 8, pleaded not guilty and were remanded into custody. They were granted bail in the sum of $12,000.00 each with one surety and have to report at the Calliaqua and Central Police Station respectively, between 6 a.m and 6 p.m.
