Thom was addressing the Court on Monday, March 21, after Mt Grenan resident Shuni Greene was acquitted of a manslaughter charge.

“The slightest mistake someone makes, you are ready to unleash. You have to learn to control yourselves,” Thom beseeched.

Greene, who was charged with causing the death of his best friend Ulrick Brian Adams back in 2009 had struck Adams with a stone in the head after he (Adams) pelted him with bottles. The altercation took place over a pity of rum.

“You used to go to the beach together and now he’s dead, Over what? Over a pity of rum?” Thom asked.

Thom said it was her hope that Greene would learn from his experience and would reflect on what happened.
