Robbery accused Austin McDowall refused bail

Murrays Village resident, Austin McDowall, will remain on remand until his robbery matter is called up for hearing on May 16, for preliminary inquiry.{{more}}

McDowall appeared at the Serious Offences Court on Monday, January 31, charged with robbing Keon Burgin of Cane Hall of $285 on January 29.

The prosecution, led by Adolphus Delpesche, objected to McDowall’s bail on the grounds that McDowall allegedly committed the offence at the same time he was on bail for a similar offence, which occurred on October 14, 2010.

Delpesche said that his October matter is set down for hearing on the 16th of this month.
